Captures everything automatically
Every app, window and document logged passively — and local files right down to file and folder level.
Automatic customer
Open a file from a customer’s folder, and all the rest of your work — browser, accounting software, emails and meetings — goes on the same customer until you touch another customer’s file. Anything that clearly points to another customer goes there, and private things are kept out. It is all marked «automatic» and can be deselected with a checkbox. If CaseTrace is in doubt, the time is marked «check» and it asks.
Emails and documents by subject
Gmail and Outlook on the web are listed email by email — the Outlook desktop app too, if you turn it on. SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Office on the web are listed per document and conversation. CaseTrace suggests the case and only reads the subject and sender — never the message itself.

Time budgets & prepaid hours
Limit and hourly rate per case. Alerts at 25, 50, 75 and 100%.

Yes. Data stays local, no registration data is sent to us, and the app installs per user without administrator rights. For IT, security officers and DPOs we have a technical one-pager with a complete network list, data storage and personal-data details — aligned with the source code.
